Newly organized districts and some operating districts frequently maintain contracted services to manage the operations of the district. However, many of CEGR Law’s clients include operating districts and nonprofit agencies staffed by both paid and volunteer members providing the day-to-day operations of facilities and services offered by the agency. We only serve employers providing services to the public, so we understand the unique perspective of our clients when it comes to employment laws. From drafting personnel policies and assisting with operating procedures that make sense and keep our clients out of legal challenges, to assisting with and consulting on various aspects of employee relations, including performance or disciplinary documentation and consultation and support, we have professionals with experience in navigating the ins and outs of maintaining a staff to support your operations. We are not litigators—but if a matter becomes disputed we pride ourselves in our ability to work collaboratively with defense counsel in the event a personnel matter requires judicial or regulatory involvement. Our goal in assisting on personnel and employment questions is to proactively manage conflict and work toward solutions that allow for the best services to be provided to the agency without falling into a regulatory pitfall or requiring unnecessary expense of litigation.
